Luck strikes hard and fast
So where to begin?
I guess i'll just start with what has occured today and post later about the past month.
Alright here goes.
So i'm out in Garlaige Citadel harassing a couple of Beastmaster friends of mine to get me a Coffer key, so i can get my nice artifact hat. As i do hate just sitting there and doing nothing, i decided to go chest hunting, since i had a key, and i have never found a chest there before. After sitting at the first banishing gate, a party finally arrives and helps me open up the gate, i run in and cast sneak on myself, i quickly run around the corner and run right into a rather large bat by the name of "Old Two-Wing", as i stand there staring at what has to be a notorious monster, i quickly run a check on it "Impossible to Gauge" it tells me, well that did it for me. I quickly sent a shout to my friends and they hightail it over, trying to get their before anyone claims it. After they arrive they start pummeling the thing with their pets, it was pretty neat, nothing is quite the same at killing powerful enemies as a Beastmaster and his pet. After a short fight, maybe a minute or so, we finally manage to take down old two-wing, and he drops a Bat Cape, after a bit of celebration, i ask how much it's worth. One of the beastmasters tells me that it's worth 400,000 gil O_O
Being a bit skeptical i ask someone on our Linkshell to run a double check on that figure, after a short wait he tells us that no, in fact it is worth 750,000 gil!
We quickly lot on it to see who gets to sell it on the auctiob house, i manage to get the highest lot by a small margin ^_^v
Since we were behind the first banishing gate one of the beastmasters decides to look around and see if he can find a coffer, so he can get another piece of his artifact armour. Only instead of finding a coffer he gets jumped by a Fallen Major, and i had to go raise him -_-;
I head down and after tractoring him to a safe spot, i raise him up, and go looking for a coffer.
After looking around for a few minutes i finally spot one, behind the third banish gate >_<>_<>_<
Since i had a bit of time on my hands, i decided to warp back to jeuno, and sell this cape that i had been carrying around with me for the last little while. After debating with the beastmasters on the amount we wanted to put it up for, we finally decided on playing it safe, and putting it up for the amount that the last few had sold for 750,000 gil. I also took the oportunity to put some more yagudo drinks that i had made on to the auction house. After i had finished with that i got an invite from for a party from one of the people who was helping my friend. I join up and run down to Port Jeuno to catch a chocobo, so i can get to garlaige citadel in a timely fashion. After a fairly uneventful bunch of fights, my friend and i manage to get ourselves a coffer key, after which the high level paladin who was helping us asked for a teleport-holla, to which i obliged him to, only to find out that we hadn't finished lotting on my coffer key!
So it got left behind in garlaige along with the monk who was helping us out ;_;
Thankfully though everyone agreed to come help me get another one the following night, so i'll post here how that goes, and whether or not i can find myself a coffer in the same evening. I also set an appointment with my beastmaster friends to camp Old Two-wing again at about the same time that we killed it, since i found out that he has a 24 hour spawn time.
Well thats about it for that evening, i hope this post makes sense, i'm pretty tired at the moment.
